Last updated: September 2026

1. About Us

Nova Solis Property & Projects is a trading name of Alpha Metro Ltd (Company No. 10993689).

We provide painting, decorating, fine finishing, handyman and property maintenance services.

2. Quotations

We provide quotations based on the information available to us at the time, including the condition of the property and the work discussed with the customer.

Unless otherwise stated, quotations are valid for 30 days.

The quotation will set out the agreed scope of work and price. Any work requested outside the original agreed scope may result in an additional charge. Where reasonably possible, any additional work and its cost will be discussed and agreed with the customer before it is carried out.

If unforeseen problems become apparent after work begins — for example hidden damage, damp, defective surfaces or other conditions that could not reasonably have been identified beforehand — we will discuss the available options and any effect on price or timescale with the customer.

3. Deposits & Payment

Depending on the size and nature of the project, a reasonable deposit may be required to confirm the booking and/or cover materials. The amount will be clearly stated in the quotation before the customer agrees to proceed.

Larger projects may be subject to staged payments linked to the progress of the work. Any payment schedule will be agreed in advance and included in the quotation.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining balance is payable following completion of the agreed work.

Additional work requested by the customer will be charged as agreed between Nova Solis and the customer.

4. Changes to the Work

Customers may request changes to the agreed work during a project. We will advise the customer where a requested change is likely to affect the price, materials required or expected completion time.

Changes involving additional cost will be agreed with the customer before the additional work is carried out, wherever reasonably possible.

If additional work becomes necessary because of an unforeseen condition at the property, we will explain the issue and obtain the customer's agreement before proceeding with chargeable additional work, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety or to prevent further damage.

5. Customer Responsibilities

To help us complete the work safely and efficiently, customers are responsible for providing reasonable access to the property at the agreed times and for informing us of any known issues that may affect the work.

Unless otherwise agreed, the customer should ensure that:

  • work areas are reasonably accessible;
  • valuable, fragile or personal items are removed or appropriately protected;
  • electricity and water are available where reasonably required for the work;
  • any relevant parking, access or property restrictions are disclosed in advance; and
  • Nova Solis is informed of any known hazards, defects or other circumstances that may affect the work.

We will take reasonable care when working in and around the customer's property and will use appropriate protection for the work being undertaken.

6. Materials, Colours & Finishes

Materials and finishes will be supplied as described in the quotation or otherwise agreed with the customer.

Where the customer selects a particular paint colour, finish, fitting or material, the customer is responsible for approving that selection before it is ordered or applied.

Colours and finishes may vary slightly from samples, photographs, screens or existing surfaces due to lighting, surface condition, manufacturing differences and other factors outside our control.

Where materials or products are supplied by the customer, Nova Solis will not be responsible for problems caused by those materials being defective, unsuitable or insufficient, provided that we have used reasonable care and skill and have raised any issue that we reasonably should have identified before using them.

7. Timescales & Delays

We will make reasonable efforts to start and complete work within any timescale agreed with the customer.

Where dates are estimates rather than fixed contractual dates, we will make this clear in the quotation.

Occasionally work may be delayed by circumstances such as adverse weather, unexpected property conditions, delays in obtaining materials, changes requested by the customer, restricted access or delays caused by other contractors.

If a significant delay occurs, we will inform the customer as soon as reasonably possible and discuss any effect on the project and revised timescale.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits the customer's statutory rights where work is not completed within an agreed time or, where no time has been agreed, within a reasonable time.

8. Cancellation Rights

Where a customer enters into a contract with Nova Solis online, by telephone, or away from our business premises, the customer may have a legal right to cancel the contract within 14 days, in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.

Where the statutory cancellation right applies, the cancellation period normally begins the day after the service contract is entered into.

Customers wishing to cancel should contact us as soon as possible by email at hello@novasolis.co.uk or by telephone on 07377 337008.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects a customer's statutory cancellation rights.

9. Starting Work During the Cancellation Period

Sometimes a customer may wish work to begin before the applicable 14-day cancellation period has ended.

Where this applies, Nova Solis will obtain the customer's express request to begin the service during the cancellation period.

If the customer subsequently exercises a statutory right to cancel after work has begun at their express request, the customer may be required to pay a reasonable and proportionate amount for the services supplied up to the time of cancellation, where permitted by law.

Where the service has been fully performed during the cancellation period following the customer's express request and the other legal requirements have been met, the customer's cancellation right may end once the service has been fully performed.

10. Completion & Problems With the Work

Nova Solis aims to complete all work with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with the agreed quotation and scope of work.

If a customer believes there is a problem with our workmanship, they should contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide us with details of the issue.

We will be given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the work and, where appropriate, put the matter right.

Where the work does not conform to the contract, the customer may have statutory rights including the right to repeat performance and, in certain circumstances, an appropriate reduction in price.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes the customer's statutory rights.
